I was approached by Hotel Killarney to help develop a visual identity for their Kids Club. The project focused on creating a welcoming and engaging brand that captures a sense of inclusivity, community, and friendliness—brought to life through a warm, woodland-inspired aesthetic designed to appeal to children of all ages.

The solution

The team at Hotel Killarney developed the name “Little Kingdom”, which is inspired by the club’s location in Co.Kerry, Ireland — often referred to as The Kingdom.

The concept for the logo is inspired by classic crest motifs commonly found in explorer-themed clubs and camps.

The eagle at the heart of the crest draws from the wild eagles native to Killarney National Park, as well as the motif used in the Hotel Killarney brand identity. The surrounding mountains and trees further reflect the landscapes of the national park.

A colourful illustrative landscape was created to capture the spirit of the area, featuring local wildlife, shimmering lakes, and the mystical mountains that define the region. Bringing all of these animals together in one shared scene reinforces a sense of inclusivity — a core value of the kids club.
